Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will have joint responsibilities in the Department of Psychological Science and the Health Psychology PhD program. The primary responsibilities of this position are to: 1) serve as the Director of the Behavioral Health and Resiliency Clinic (BeHealthieR Clinic); and 2) teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in clinical psychology, including in the APA -accredited clinical psychology concentration of the Health Psychology PhD Program which is housed in the Department of Psychological Science. This role involves teaching clinical training and related courses. In addition to clinically-related teaching and providing clinical supervision to doctoral students, applicants will be responsible for administrative duties pertaining to the BeHealthieR clinic (e.g., supervising student trainees, assigning clients, updating clinic measures, etc.).
Required qualifications:
- A PhD or PsyD degree from an APA -accredited Clinical or Counseling Psychology program
- Desire to build and support an in-house training clinic for doctoral students in Health Psychology
- Strong skills in psychotherapeutic interventions or clinical assessment with adults or children
- Licensure (or eligibility to be licensed) as a health service psychologist in North Carolina
- Ability to supervise and train clinical health psychology doctoral students in all areas
commensurate with APA accreditation standards
- Ability to teach clinical psychology courses at the graduate and undergraduate level
- Experience with, and commitment to, serving and training people from an array of backgrounds in order to support student success and excellent client outcomes
- Commitment to the scientist-practitioner model of clinical psychology training, including the utilization of evidence-based assessment and intervention approaches
This position will have joint responsibilities in the Department of Psychological Science and the Health Psychology PhD program.
Minimum Experience / Education:
UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned masters and/or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.

Preferred qualifications
- Strong administrative skills (i.e., developing and managing a budget, developing and implementing policies and procedures, working with IT, managing teams of graduate student clinicians)
- Experience working in or managing a training clinic that provides individual, group, couple, and assessment services
- Experience in clinical supervision
- Evidence of high-quality teaching at the graduate and undergraduate level
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passionate about growing the clinic to serve both on- and off- campus communities
- Interested in supporting clinic-based research with faculty and graduate students
- Experience obtaining and managing funding for clinical activities
