The Clinic Services Assistant promotes the M Physicians’ philosophy of patient centered care by guiding patients through the efficient operation of both reception check-in and checkout procedures. This role welcomes visitors, provides non-clinical information, takes messages, schedules appointments or procedures, collects co-pays and verifies health insurance information. The individual in this role displays proficient time management skills, the ability to prioritize and triage work in a fast-paced environment, thinks critically and displays interpersonal competency.
Clinic Services Assistant OverviewKey responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for patient registration and monitoring the clinic lobbyChecks-in patients for clinic services according to scripts and clinic processCompletes registration process, prints labels and prepares new patient registration as requestedRequests/obtains/sends medical records and diagnostic test results for patient visit to scheduled provider officeMinimum Qualifications:1+ years clerical experience in a medical or customer service settingPrevious computer entry experience with ability to learn new applications and work processesKnowledge of basic medical terminology and keyboarding skillsKnowledge of environment of care and infection control policiesLocation: 2020 E 28th St, Minneapolis, MN 55407
Hours: 40 hours a week, day time hours
