Climate, Nature and Social Risk Intelligence Analyst

Our Climate, Nature, and Social (CN&S) Risk team is at the forefront of establishing firmwide strategies for risk management, developing and advancing firmwide policy and standards, and building our data-driven approach as they relate to CN&S risks. As an Analyst in the CN&S team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our approach to managing CN&S risks. You will collaborate with global stakeholders, using your skills in data analysis, research, and communications to build the intelligence capabilities of the team. You will deliver critical insights to inform the development of CN&S models, frameworks, and risk management capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a rapidly evolving field within the financial services industry, with high focus and visibility within J.P. Morgan.

Job responsibilities:                                                                                                    

Conduct tailored research on CN&S topics affecting the firm's activities and produce insightful summaries.Develop high-quality presentations, newsletters, and training materials for internal stakeholders, focusing on effective communication of technical and quantitative information on CN&S risk topics across the firm.Assist in preparing content for the firm’s public statements and disclosures on climate and social topics.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of CN&S risk capabilities.Manage CN&S-related projects to ensure timely and successful execution.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, public policy, or a related field.Ability to synthesize technical information and communicate it clearly to senior audiences.Sharp critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a strong sense of ownership.Strong communication skills with experience creating high-impact presentations.Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the financial services industry.Experience in a previous climate-related role, such as climate risk consulting.
