OPERATIONS 

Transaction Banking Operations is part of Transaction Banking within Platform Solutions. We are responsible for building, developing, and supporting Goldman Sachs’ Transaction Banking offering that is delivering a range of treasury and cash management products to our corporate client base. Transaction Banking Operations provide essential risk management and controls architecture to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.

 

YOUR IMPACT

We’re looking for a professional to join our Client Relationship Management team within Transaction Banking. Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) serve as the primary point of contact for our strategic corporate relationships, overseeing the strategy and execution of our front-to-back client experience.

 

As a CRM, you are responsible for delivering a best-in-class, front-to-back client experience, driving growth opportunities, and decreasing cost-to-service. By collaborating with cross-functional internal stakeholders on strategic initiatives and product enhancements, delivering against client objectives, and providing enhanced service levels, you will strengthen our strategic client relationships and drive business growth.

Transaction Banking Operations is focused on scaling the Transaction Banking businesses and supporting the constantly evolving suite of innovative Transaction Banking Services we are offering clients, whilst adapting to the rapidly changing payment landscape. 

 

Our organization is the first line of defense for control and governance to protect both clients’ and the firm’s financial assets; and to provide a differentiated, best-in-class client service.  Transaction Banking Operations has presence in Singapore, Bengaluru, London, New York, Dallas, and Amsterdam. All our offices work closely together as a single global team in support of our Transaction Banking business. 

 

We manage a wide range of complex processes, with members developing skills and competencies around client service (client on-boarding, first line client support), cash management (including: payment controls, bank account management, virtual account management, cash concentration, payment formatting /settlement, reconciliation and claims), transaction support (FX Payment, Escrow, Money Market and Term Deposits), regulatory requirements, industry trends and change management.

 

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

Build, maintain, and enhance relationships with senior client contacts in cash management and treasury groupsRegularly meet with clients to understand strategic goals and priorities, and to review front-to-back Service Level Expectations (SLE)Proactively review Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to identify and resolve emerging issues, assess client efficiency opportunities, and drive improvement plansPartner with internal teams (client on-boarding, implementation, client service, operations, product and engineering) to resolve complex client issues, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure client SLEs are metServe as an internal champion for clients, advocating for client needs to prioritize product enhancements, strategic projects, and process improvement initiatives Collaborate with sales to drive commercial opportunities

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of experience in client facing rolesStrong written and verbal communication skillsEffective interpersonal skills with the ability to influence global stakeholders on behalf of clientsResults-oriented team player who collaborates with others to drive optimal outcomesCommitment to excellence and a high level of integrityEffective risk manager, demonstrating the ability to understand and balance internal risk with external client needs 
 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Relevant Transaction Banking experienceProven relationship management experience that has driven business growthJudgement and problem solving; thinks ahead and anticipates situations.Ability to analyze complex issues and identify clear, objective solutionsCapability to effectively build network across global stakeholders

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
