Organization Overview:
At AHF (AIDS Healthcare Foundation), our mission is to provide cutting-edge medicine and advocacy to those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. We have a commitment to enhancing client experience and ensuring patient engagement, ultimately improving retention within our services.

Position Overview:
The Client Experience and Retention Intern will support the Healthcare Center department in fulfilling its mission to enhance client satisfaction, increase patient engagement, and improve retention rates. This role encompasses various responsibilities, including managing existing client experience programs, developing new initiatives, and collaborating with multiple teams to deliver seamless client services.

Key Responsibilities:

Shadow administrative staff, including the Practice Manager, benefit counselor, and front desk personnel, to gain insight into clinic workflow.Assist in referral coordination and phone triaging.Learn about HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining patient/medical records.Understand the ADAP eligibility program and its significance.Assist in obtaining medical records for case management, HASA, and HIV testing counselors.Review unscheduled client cases with the goal of enhancing patient retention initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Must be a full-time student at an accredited 4-year college or a postgraduate institution.Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, majoring in a healthcare degree or a related field.Must commit to the full duration of the program and full-time hours.Must possess exceptional computer skills.

Work Hours: Hybrid Schedule

Monday - Thursday 9am -6pm; Friday 9am - 4pm
