In this role, you will be tasked to articulate the MEC claims value prop to MEC customers. The Client Consult Manager will be responsible for proactively managing relationships with MEC active clients. The position requires in person or online meetings to discuss, explain and demonstrate the MEC claims’ value proposition.
This role is a single point of contact for MEC’s active clients to facilitate strategy sessions (known as Client Consults) with MEC’s multidisciplinary team of claim analysts, attorneys, CMO, and MMCs, the TPA, and any other involved parties. Strong communication and claim skills are required to share MEC best practices, insights, and expertise to collaborate on finding a proactive solution to complicated claims through proactive support.
Be a resource the MEC active clients, their associates, and the TPA who service them.
Key functions include but are not limited to:
Client Consults
Identify claims that are appropriate for client consults and work with TPAs to engage and deliver claim consults to active customers. Ensure the TPA and ultimately client understands that MEC services and products will help bring their program to a best-practice level.Engage in communication with the Account Executives, ISI Underwriters, and ISI Claims Analyst for the execution of the MEC Claims Value Prop on active accounts to ensure seamless interaction with MEC customers and TPAs.Interact and communicate with internal claim resources to identify opportunities for Client Consults. Provide informational updates internally and externally pertaining to success stories, MEC initiatives, roundtable discussions, webinars.Business Acumen
Conduct online and/or in-person meetings as a way to build credibility, understanding and empathy.Consistently demonstrate knowledge and utilization of MEC’s Value proposition and services. Ability to understand MEC claims handling approach and how data is received and utilized. Be able to educate on all aspects of tool including data exchange.Collaborate with the TPA and understand how various TPA’s operate.Strategic Planning
Encourage MEC clients (and their TPAs) to seek consultative assistance on complex claims from MECShare articles, MEC claims’ success stories, and industry information to demonstrate MEC valueSupport underwriting, business development, data services, and analytic departments by encouraging TPA’s to provide electronic data.TPA Relationship Management
Interact and develop relationships with Third Party Administrators (TPAs) at a senior/executive management level.Utilize consultative approach to sell TPA’s on the value of MEC services. Lead, manage and educate TPAs on the data exchange on-boarding process with MEC Data Services, including set-up, protocols, and maintenanceInteract and assist TPAs in integrating analytics into their claim handling process.Consistent communication with all internal departments –to understand TPA’s business model.Introduce Service/Partnership Agreement to TPA’s as reference and guide for TPA’s to utilize in understanding requirements and MEC Preferred VendorsIntervene with TPA management if/as problems may develop in business process or on an individual claim.
