RPA San Diego operates as a third-party (TPA), consulting, and strategic management branch for collectively bargained benefit plans, pooled purchasing arrangements and trusts. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare to our members. The Client Benefits Administrator at RPA coordinates the administration of employee benefit programs such as basic and major medical coverage, dental insurance, group life insurance, and other benefit plans for our clients. This position involves close collaboration with clients, internal teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless benefits administration and exceptional client satisfaction. How you'll make an impact · Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their benefits needs and providing timely support and solutions. · Benefits Administration: Administer clients' benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans. Ensure accurate and timely processing of enrollments, changes, and terminations. · Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits administration. Keep clients informed of any regulatory changes and their impact on benefits programs. · Open Enrollment: Coordinate and manage the annual open enrollment process for clients, including communication, plan comparisons, and enrollment assistance. · Vendor Management: Liaise with benefits vendors to resolve issues and ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients. · Communication: Develop and deliver clear and concise benefits communications to clients and their employees, including plan summaries, newsletters, and informational sessions. · Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits data in the computer system. Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends and inform decision-making. · Problem Resolution: Address and resolve benefits-related issues and inquiries from clients and their employees in a timely and efficient manner. About You · Education: High school diploma · Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in benefits administration or a related field such as healthcare administration or records management · Knowledge: Strong understanding of benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans. Familiarity with federal, state, and local benefits regulations. · Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. · Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc). · Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in benefits administration and data management. · Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. · Professionalism: Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive client information.
