Clerk Accounting- Full Time, Finance (Harrah's SoCal)

Performs daily accounting and financial functions, which include invoice processing, vendor statement reconciliation, and completion of inventory counts. Responsibilities include Accounts Payable and general ledger support.

 

Qualifications: 

High school diploma or equivalent is required.  Six months previous Accounting or Accounts Payable experience preferred.  Must be able to operate a computer keyboard and mouse.  Must have the ability to understand procedures and gaming regulations and adhere to them.      Must be flexible to work any day of the week, including holidays.  Proficiency with Microsoft programs required.  Must be able to work well with co-workers and work as a team.  Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.  Must present a well-groomed appearance.

 

Essential Job Functions: 

Utilizing several programs including Oracle and Stratton Warren.  Completing tasks with accuracy and efficiency.  Generating various accounting reports.  Completing inventory counts of retail, food, and beverage outlets.    Reviewing, reconciling, and verifying documents for proper completion. Communicating with departments and external vendors in a professional manner.  Filing documents as necessary.  Meeting the attendance guidelines of the job.  Adhering to regulatory, departmental, and property policies.

 

Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:          

Must be able to maneuver around various areas throughout the casino.  Must be able to sit for long periods of time and view information displayed on a computer screen. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.        Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned desk area and during inventories. Must be able to lift and move at least 30 pounds. Must have the manual dexterity to operate office equipment.  Must be able to work in a noisy environment.      Must be able to keep an organized work area.

Pay: Starting at $19.50 per hour, depending on experience.
