Essential Functions:1. Keep accurate records of doctor ordered clear liquid diets, tube feedings, and strict NPO's.
2. Read and interpret diet manual and have some knowledge of all therapeutic diets.
3. Utilizes proper phone etiquette and scripting.
4. Accurately and appropriately places meal/snack orders for patients and residents.
5. Guides and educates patients that are on therapeutic diets on what is permitted on their diet.
6. Informs patient when an item they are ordering will not be on their tray due to not appropriate or unavailable.
7. Able to perform computer tasks specific to the job. Accurately enters data into computer programs and maintains statistics.
8. Accurately takes temperatures of department refrigerators and freezers and performs follow-up as needed.
9. Answers phone calls and responds to voice mails in a timely manner.
10. Demonstrates a cooperative, supportive attitude when assigned to do something outside the usual routine.
