 Details about this opportunity:  

Part time (with possibility of going full time in the next 12 months)  Work at our Hawthorne Center:  

4-8pm Mon / Wed / Fri (12-16 hours weekly)

Compensation $23-26.00/hour

 

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Responsible for keeping our Children's Centers clean and professional. We are looking for someone who can do the follow:

Cleaning

Vacuuming, mopping, cleaning surface areas, dusting, bathroom maintenance

Maintenance

Replacing lightbulbs, painting, hanging whiteboards

Other duties

Restocking bathrooms, emptying trash, wiping down high touch surfaces

 

Some requirements for a day porter include:

High school diploma or relevant qualification 6 – 12 months porter experience Able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends Must be reliable and professional Prepared to execute all duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner Familiarity with common cleaning supplies and hand tools Physical stamina

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: 

High school diploma or relevant qualification Must be able to travel to Farmingdale and New Hyde Park centers on a daily basis Must have a NYS Drivers License in good standing 6 – 12 months porter experience Able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends Must be reliable and professional Prepared to execute all duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner Familiarity with common cleaning supplies and hand tools Physical stamina

 

 

 In an effort to keep our clients and community safe, we require all new employees to show proof that they are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and/or adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines set forth by the location they are assigned. Submission of a weekly lab test may be required for those who are not vaccinated.
