Job Purpose: To provide an effective cleaning service within the hospital premises in order to ensure that hygiene levels of the highest standard are achieved.

Job Statement: 1. Ensure cleanliness of offices, departments, wards, day rooms, kitchens, and public areas, departments and day rooms

2. Cleaning of sanitary ware – baths, showers, sinks and toilets and mirrors

3. Replenishing disposable items: soap, toilet rolls, hand towels

4. Use and maintenance of cleaning equipment

5. Making of beds in residential areas and attention to clean and dirty linen

6. Assisting in patient meals service as required

7. Changing and rechanging curtains
