Clean Up Operator

What Will You Do?

To perform the Clean Up Operator position successfully an individual must perform the duties of this job satisfactorily at a sustained level of productivity by maintaining plant cleanliness. This includes emptying of waste receptacles and dumpsters and general cleaning of the facilities.

Essential Functions:

· Operate forklifts and sweepers according to standard operating procedures to transport plant garbage

from appropriate production areas to hog room and waste dumpsters.

· Empty waste receptacles by hand into dumpsters as necessary

· Clean and work in confined space areas to ensure cleaning and proper operation of dust collection

· Follow all OSHA and company established safety rules

· Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

· Accurately record necessary information into a computer or by hand.

· Report any machine malfunctions to supervisor

Marginal Functions:

· Operate the Wood Hog

· Suggest improvements in processes

· Operate recycling balers and equipment

· Sit continuously

· Walk occasionally

· Use hands, wrists and arms continuously for lifting

· Reaching and lifting above shoulder height occasionally

· Stoop, kneel, bend, or crouch occasionally

· Communicate frequently

· Continuously use foot or feet to operate machinery

· Lift up to:

0 - 25 lbs. continuously

25 - 50 lbs. frequently

50 - 100 + lbs. occasionally

· Vision requirements include:

Reading paperwork and computer screens

Constant attention to other vehicle operators and pedestrians

Necessary Skills and Abilities:

Read, write, and comprehend the meaning of basic communications; Basic counting and math skills; Communicate in an effective and courteous manner; Reliable; Punctual; Perform duties in compliance with company policies; Work with others as part of a team; Perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
