Job Title Classroom Staff Technician (Part-Time) Agency Texas A&M University - Central Texas Department Technology Enhanced Learning Proposed Minimum Salary $15.00 hourly Job Location Killeen, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description The Classroom Staff Technician provides first-tier technical support for students, faculty, and staff at TAMUCT. The technician will support and troubleshoot classroom systems, respond to tickets, and assist users with Apple devices. Additionally, they will address Wi-Fi and connectivity problems and ensure compliance with IT security policies. Close coordination with the IT department is essential to stay current with university changes. Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer. The department is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time. Responsibilities: + Provide first-tier software and hardware technical support for students, faculty, and staff in library, classrooms, and over the phone. + Process customer computer and audio-visual equipment needs and perform equipment checkout and turn-in processing. + Perform installations and minor maintenance on computer hardware, packaged software, and audio-visual equipment. + Support, Maintain, troubleshoot, repair classroom systems as needed. + Respond to tickets through the ticketing system as assigned and provide customer service and updates to users to assist with issues they are having with their Apple devices. + Troubleshoot problems with classroom PCs, Apple devices and software required by students, staff, and faculty users at TAMUCT + Connecting to and troubleshooting issues that pertain to Wi-Fi and classroom connectivity issues. + Coordinate and work with IT to stay up to date on IT University changes and to ensure security policies and State and System directives are met for Apple devices on campus. Education: High School diploma or equivalent (minimum). Qualifications/Skills: General computer skills, familiarity with Windows operating systems, and Microsoft Office products. Experience with Apple products is also a plus. Salary: $15.00/hour. Hours: Various hours TBD, up to 19.5 hours per week. All positions are security-sensitive.
