Help us enhance our clients’ claims experience

Join us on our mission to revolutionize the parcel / fulfillment insurance industry while delivering an exceptional claims experience for our customers! Our dynamic and growing team is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join us. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to lead innovative projects and identify ways to streamline both fulfillment claims and the recovery processes.

The opportunity: 

The Claims Manager will be responsible for leading Flexport’s Omnichannel claims team, with a focus on fulfillment claims and carrier recoveries. This individual will oversee the day-to-day operations of the claims department, manage a global team of claims employees, and ensure that all claims are handled efficiently and effectively. The Claims Manager will also play a key role in implementing new processes and tools to improve claims recovery and overall client experience.

You will: Manage the claims process from start to finish, including initial assessment, investigation, carrier recovery, and resolution using digital tools and technology Oversee fulfillment claim recoveries from carriers, ensuring claims are processed in a timely and accurate manner Supervise a global team of claims employees, providing guidance and support as needed Ensure that all claims are handled in accordance with company policies and procedures Communicate with clients, underwriters, carriers, and other stakeholders through digital channels (email, chat) to resolve claims and provide updates Monitor and analyze claims data to identify trends and potential issues using digital platforms Develop and implement training programs for claims employees, improving their proficiencies.  Work closely with other departments, such as sales, Omnichannel (fulfillment) operations, and risk management, to ensure alignment and consistency across the company Stay current with industry developments and regulations to ensure compliance Continuously research and implement new technologies and digital tools to improve the cargo and parcel claims process You should have:   Bachelor’s degree in a related field Strong leadership and management skills Minimum of 8 years of experience managing cargo and/or fulfillment claims Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of cargo and parcel insurance policies and procedures Familiarity with technology and digital tools used in claims processing Strong understanding of risk management principles Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Experience in implementing new technologies or digital tools to improve efficiency or service delivery.
