About the Role:

As a Claims Advocate, you will play a crucial role in managing a portfolio of property and casualty claims. You will work closely with insureds, carriers, adjusters, and attorneys to ensure timely and cost-effective claim resolutions. Your responsibilities will include:

Responsible for day-to-day claim reportingUnder general direction, oversees an inventory of small to mid-level Property and Casualty claims (WC, Auto, GL, Property)Reviews policies to determine coverageReviews carrier investigations, medical records, and damages to ensure appropriate handlingCapable of reading summons, leases, and contracts for the purpose of determining proper handling of claim as well as liability and/or insurable interestAssessing claim reserves and negotiating changes as needed.Manages claims process to ensure timely and cost-effective outcomesConsistent interaction with Insureds, carriers, adjusters, attorneys, etc. to ensure that claims concerns are addressed timelyAlerts Claims Manager to claims trends and coverage issues to help with overall program improvementsMaintains diary of files and documents all claims activity/recommendations in claims system to reflect engagement and impact of involvementPerform special projects, as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.3+ years of experience with multi-line Property & Casualty claimsAdjuster or broker license preferred.Strong understanding of property and casualty claims terminology and concepts.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and adaptability skills.Proven ability to analyze complex claims situations and recommend appropriate resolutions.Proficiency in MS Office and carrier RMIS systems. Experience with Origami and Smartsheet is a plus. 

The expected pay range for this position is $32.97 an hour to $43.96 an hour and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and work location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
