Our Nuclear Services Group is looking for a Structural Engineer onsite at Palisades Power Plant in Covert, MI. This dynamic role empowers you to drive innovative solutions, manage projects from design to field execution, and ensure the highest standards of quality and performance across diverse engineering disciplines. This is a temporary, LTLB (Contract) position.

Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate and interface with various engineering teams to ensure seamless project integrationDesign & Quality Assurance: Review and refine designs, drawings, and data to uphold technical excellence and accuracyStrategic Planning & Estimation: Prepare design studies, project scopes, and engineering estimates to guide project successProject Leadership: Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality with minimal oversight, delivering results with confidenceInnovative Problem Solving: Devise creative approaches to overcome technical challengesField Execution & Hands-On Impact: Travel to oversee field installations, checkouts, and start-ups, ensuring real-world successMentorship & Technical Oversight: Lead and guide technical teams to maintain high standards of quality and performance across projects Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited universityMinimum of 3 years of power system design experience in the Nuclear Industry for a mid level role, and typically has 7 years of nuclear experience for a senior roleDemonstrated proficiency in preparation of structural calculations is desiredKnowledge of discipline-specific computer analysis codes as well as standard office production softwareProficient in Word and ExcelFamiliar with the International Building code and building code designGood writing, presentation, and communication skillsAbility to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teamsFamiliar with concrete and steel design codes and with working stress and ultimate strength design approachesMust be able to get badged at a nuclear facilityMust be able to perform plant walkdowns
