Our Data Center Mission Critical Group is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer to join the team in our Emeryville, CA location, or remote from Columbus OH, or Ashburn, VA. Responsibilities

This role involves supporting engineering design and analysis projects for data centers and new building systems. Responsibilities include performing seismic analysis, developing structural designs, and leading projects. Additionally, the role may involve inspections, allow you to create client presentations, and provide collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

 

Engineering Leadership: Drive impactful solutions in the power industry through expert design, analysis, and cutting-edge building systemsSeismic & Structural Expertise: Ensure safety and resilience with precise seismic and structural analysis, adhering to the latest codes and standardsStrategic Project Management: Lead projects with vision, fostering collaboration, and delivering cost-effective, high-quality solutionsDesign Precision & Real-World Impact: Develop detailed designs, calculations, and documentation, transforming concepts into executable plans Field Excellence & Hands-On Insight: Conduct site inspections and provide practical support to ensure seamless construction and design implementationCollaborative Innovation: Work across disciplines to create holistic, forward-thinking solutions that drive engineering excellence Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited universityMinimum of 3 years’ experience in an engineering roleDemonstrated proficiency in preparation of structural calculations is desiredMust be able to work and remain in the United States without sponsorshipProficient in Microsoft Office Suite including, but not limited to, Word and ExcelMinimum basic level of proficiency in CAD softwareETABS software experience strongly preferredExcellent writing, presentation, and communication skillsAbility to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teamsAbility to be a lead responsible engineer for a project involving multi-discipline workMust be able to climb ladders and/or stairs at client sitesAbility to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

PE License desired, especially California PE LicenseSE License desired or plan to attain within 5 years M.S. in Structural Engineering preferredPrior experience in the design of structures in commercial and critical infrastructure environments is desired

Salary Range

The salary range for this full-time position is below. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
