We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Civil Road Inspector to join our team for a Solar Energy Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and compliance of all road construction activities within the solar project site, including access roads, internal roads, and pathways. This role is critical to the smooth transportation of materials and personnel to the site and is essential to the project’s overall success.
Key Responsibilities
Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor and assess the construction of roads within the project area. Ensure adherence to project plans, technical specifications, and quality standards. Quality Control: Inspect construction materials and techniques to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Conduct tests on soil, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete materials to verify their quality. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure that all road construction activities are compliant with local, state, and national safety, environmental, and construction regulations. Coordination: Collaborate with the engineering team, contractors, and project managers to resolve any construction issues or deviations from the plan. Safety Oversight: Enforce safety standards on-site, ensuring all road construction activities are carried out in a safe manner with proper risk management protocols in place. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections, reports, tests, and any non-conformance issues. Document progress and contribute to regular project reports. Progress Monitoring: Track road construction progress and ensure work is completed on time and within budget. Identify and resolve potential delays or bottlenecks. Problem Solving: Identify potential issues with road construction and recommend corrective actions to prevent delays or cost overruns.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil road inspection or road construction, preferably in infrastructure for large-scale projects like energy plants or solar farms. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of road construction processes, soil testing, material specifications, and engineering principles. Certifications: Certification in construction inspection, road construction, or safety management is preferred. Software Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) is a plus. Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with local, state, and federal road construction and safety regulations.

Additional Information
This role may require occasional travel to the project site. Must be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Health and safety protocols must be strictly followed at all times.
