Gannett Fleming has an amazing opportunity for an experienced Civil Project Engineer capable of supporting high profile transit and transportation related projects in Greater Los Angeles area and across Southern California. You will also have the responsibility of direct client enagement and management, functioning as the liaison with the client and multi-disciplinary project teams. You will be able to demonstrate your technical talents by designing civil improvements which includes roadway, drainage, utilities and site improvements supporting signature projects that connect communities.

Major duties and responsibilities include:
Responsible for managing and delivering quality civil transportation projects on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the clientLead and attend technical project coordination meetingsPerform engineering design tasks for transportation and transit related projects from preliminary to final designDesign development in accordance with the Scope of Work and local, state and federal criteria and requirementsDemonstrated understanding of design criteria and requirements of local jurisdictions such as; Los Angeles Metro, City of Los Angeles, Caltrans and federal Railroad Standards.Actively manage task budgets and schedulesDevelop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packagesHave strong written and oral communication skills and a team-oriented attitudePrepare reports and make presentationsMinimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Civil EngineeringMinimum of 5 years’ progressive engineering experience possessing a broad knowledge and experience in civil design in the areas of transportation, transit and/or rail preferredIn-depth familiarity with Micro Station and AutoCAD with experience with Civil 3D desiredAt Gannett Fleming, we believe in improving the lives of the people we serve.
