In this role, you will conduct design work for streets, highways, interchanges, railroad sites, and other infrastructure projects. You will perform a variety of engineering duties and be responsible for developing engineering studies, designs, estimates, and construction documents. You will utilize engineering software and interface with CAD designers, other engineers, and subcontractors. **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform field investigations, roadway/highway design, grading and drainage, utilities, green infrastructure, work zone traffic control, site layout, and other associated transportation engineering duties. + Develop civil/highway design plans, profiles, sections, and details using engineering software (such as AutoCAD and MicroStation). + Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, specifications, and other contract documents. + Support multi-disciplinary design development teams for project execution. + Provide support for other engineering activities as required. + Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and 3+ years of related work experience. + NYCDOT/NYCDDC civil/highway experience preferred. + Familiarity with NYCDDC, NYCDOT, and/or NYCDEP standards and specifications. + Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation software, as well as working knowledge of other PC software packages typically associated with engineering. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred. **Join Parsons and be part of a team that delivers innovative and impactful infrastructure projects.
