Job Title: Civil Engineer - Drainage
Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer specializing in drainage and water resources to join our multidisciplinary team. Our firm, established in 2002, is a small but well-established company with a staff of 32. We primarily work on public sector projects for Arizona's municipalities, offering a diverse range of project types from drainage studies to urban design and transit planning.

ResponsibilitiesLead and manage drainage and water resources projects.Conduct area drainage master studies and plans.Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, including sediment transport analysis.Utilize 2-dimensional modeling (FLO-2D) and bridge hydraulics and scour analysis.Develop flood mitigation alternatives.Design storm drain systems, culverts, channels, and flood control improvements.Plan and design detention basins, retention basins, parks, and multi-use facilities.Prepare grading, drainage, and pavement design.Execute floodplain delineations (FIRM, DFIRM, PMR) and manage CLOMR/LOMR/LOMC processes.Ensure compliance with FEMA Guidelines and NFIP Regulations.Perform infrastructure assessments and prepare construction documents.Conduct cost reviews and manage water and sewer utility design.Oversee project management, client coordination, business development, and technical reviews (QAQC).Write technical reports and documentation.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license.Extensive experience in civil engineering, particularly in drainage and water resources.Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.Experience with hydraulic modeling using FLO-2D and HEC-RAS 2D.Strong project management and leadership skills.Excellent communication and client coordination abilities.Experience in public works projects.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with construction, design, and drafting.Knowledge of stormwater management and sewer systems.Familiarity with Arizona drainage regulations and requirements.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $75.00/hr.
