Civil Engineer
Job Title: Civil EngineerJob Description As a water/wastewater engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing water and wastewater treatment systems. This includes conducting site investigations, analyzing data, developing engineering plans, and overseeing construction and installation. You will also be responsible for managing projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with a focus on water and wastewater treatment. They should also have a Professional Engineer (PE) license and at least 7 years of experience in the field. In addition to technical skills, we are looking for someone who is a strong communicator and team player. You will be working closely with clients, contractors, and other engineers, so the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate is essential. Responsibilities + Design, develop, and implement water and wastewater treatment systems. + Conduct site investigations and analyze data. + Develop engineering plans and oversee construction and installation. + Manage projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. + Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project success. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. + Professional Engineer (PE) license. + 7+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering. + Strong technical skills in design and development of treatment systems. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge of industry advancements and regulations. + Experience in project management and team leadership. + Experience with design software such as AutoCAD. + Ability to work independently and in a team environment. + Willingness to travel for project site visits. Work Environment This role involves working both from home and in the Kansas City, MO office. The position requires travel for project site visits. The work environment is collaborative, and you will be working closely with a team of engineers and other professionals. Technologies and equipment used include AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
