CIVIL SITE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER – INDIANAPOLIS, IN
We are actively hiring a Civil Site Development Engineer to support projects taking place in Indianapolis, IN! The Site Team primarily works on Industrial/Manufacturing, Commercial, and School projects. Since this is a full-service firm, the Civil team's clients are a mixture of their own coworkers in other departments and external customers. Most projects will include a smaller scope, but this team will also work on large-scale, multi-year design projects as needed.
This is a great opportunity for someone who prefers a low-stress work environment with a wide variety in project types and good flexibility. This team puts a larger emphasis on character and personality over technical experience and has the capacity to help develop and train where needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Civil Engineering Design: Site Layout, Grading and Drainage, Erosion Control, Stormwater Management, Hydrologic/Hydraulic Analysis, and Utility DesignWork with Project Managers and staff on project: Schools, Office Buildings, Manufacturing Facilities, Parking Garages, and Multi-Family HousingPrepare Construction Documents (Engineering Drawings and Specifications, and Bid Documents)Prepare Hydraulic Calculations and Drainage Reports, including Calculations and SpreadsheetsProvide Engineering Support during Construction and Write Technical ReportsJob Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or Related Discipline2+ Years of Experience in Site Development, Stormwater, or Water/Wastewater EngineeringProfessional Experience using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3DPreferred but Not Required – Experience with Drainage Design and Hydraulics CalculationsPreferred but Not Required – Passed FE or PE exam (Professional Engineer Career Track)Miscellaneous:
Will consider candidates who have done Site Layout, Grading, and Drainage on projects in other Civil Disciplines (i.e., Wastewater, Transportation, Survey). This is a very stable company with a wide variety of projects in the Industrial, Commercial, and Education sectors. This team supports both internal departments and external customers.
