Civil Engineer

Zenviron is a joint venture between Monadelphous and ZEM Energy and is a market leading engineering, procurement and construction services contractor, specialising in the design and construction of large-scale renewable energy projects in Australia.

Following the continued growth and success of the business, we have a permanent position available for an experienced Civil Engineer to join the Zenviron engineering team based in the Newcastle Office. Reporting to the Civil Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing quality, safe, and commercially effective engineering designs for project delivery.

If you are an experienced Civil Engineer with exposure to the delivery of large-scale bulk earthworks designs who wants to be a part of key growth across the renewables sector, come and join the inclusive and high performing Zenviron team. 


Key responsibilities will include:

Working as part of the engineering delivery team within Zenviron, involved in the development, and ongoing refinement of bulk earthworks and related civil engineering design for renewable infrastructure projects. Understanding your WHS responsibilities and actively promoting and supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others. Providing technical support to other members of the Engineering team and project teams. Ensuring all designs/documentation meet the relevant standards. Co-ordinating with design consultants and subcontractors as necessary. Providing engineering support to project civil works including engineering investigations, site inspections, solving problems and making recommendations.


What we are looking for:

Australian recognised Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia (or be eligible to obtain) Experience in the delivery of large-scale civil bulk earthworks projects Knowledge of 12D (highly regarded) and AutoCAD design software Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Good communication (written and verbal) skills Proof of right to work in Australia


To be successful in this role you will require well-developed interpersonal skills to assist you in building effective stakeholder relationships both internally and externally, whilst you will demonstrate a team orientated approach to work and commitment to continuous improvement.
