Job Title: Civil DrafterJob Description Utilize MicroStation to prepare engineering drawings for roadway corridors, roadway improvement plans, resurfacing plans, and more. Prepare comprehensive engineering drawing sets including grading, drainage, pavements and drives, sanitary and storm sewers, and utility designs. Analyze, create, and submit budget estimates for approval and prepare utility drainage cross-sections for road improvement projects. Responsibilities + Prepare engineering drawings using MicroStation for various roadway projects. + Create detailed engineering drawing sets including grading, drainage, pavements, drives, sanitary and storm sewers, and utility designs. + Analyze and create budget estimates for project approval. + Prepare utility drainage cross-sections for road improvement projects. + Support a variety of municipal-focused roadway projects including resurfacing, right of ways, road corridors, and utility involvement. + Mentor junior drafters in MicroStation and support their development. + Assist in taking projects from start to finish and potentially grow into a managerial role. Essential Skills + 5+ years of MicroStation drafting experience. + Proficiency in roadway design, civil design, and utility design. + Experience with water main, sanitary, storm sewer design work, and grading plans. + Strong attention to detail. + Excellent communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with OpenRoads and/or GEOPAK preferred. + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. + Knowledge in stormwater and pavement design. Work Environment This role supports a highly collaborative team that works together in the office all five days a week, with flexibility offered when needed. The team includes experienced senior drafters and coachable junior drafters, fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment.
