Civil Design Engineer - Fort Wayne, IN

We are actively hiring a Civil Engineer in Fort Wayne, IN! This person will take the lead on Design Tasks while supporting diverse Transportation and Water/Wastewater Infrastructure projects for INDOT, municipalities, and local counties. This team offers excellent personal and professional development, including technical and Project Management training, to support career advancement and successful project delivery for clients. Job Responsibilities:

Lead Project Design Calculations, Reports, Planning Preparation, and Roadway Modeling.Assist Office Leadership in the Preparation of Proposal Documents and Preliminary Project Evaluations.Network with peers at other firms and Public Agencies to enhance Personal and Firm Relationships during Project Coordination efforts.Coordinate Project Tasks and report to the Project Manager and Supervisory Staff to assist in Budget, Schedule, and Project Status tracking.Support Indianapolis and other Regional offices on a variety of Infrastructure projects.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering2+ Years of Experience in Transportation or Water/Wastewater Design EngineeringRegistered Engineering in Training (EIT) with a desire to become a Professional Engineer (PE)Experience with Civil 3D, MicroStation Bentley Open Roads, and Drainage software including StormCADTeam Player with a Positive Attitude, Strong Communication, and a desire to Professionally Develop their careerPreferred but Not Required - Obtained PE License and/or Project Management Experience

Work Environment:

Traditional schedule is Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, with flexible hours as needed or preferred.The official policy allows for 2 WFH days per week, but most team members work 1 WFH day per week due to the close-knit nature of the office.This is a good opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with teammates in an office environment. This is an office of about 12 people, including 5 Professional Engineers and 3 Project Managers.
