Job Description
Draft preliminary and final drawings under the supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor or Professional Engineer. Process data collected from field-run surveys including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys, and draft final drawings under the supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor. Create and edit digital surface models for topographic surveys and construction layout. Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates under the direction of a licensed engineer. May assist with a variety of other functions including utility locating, land surveying, 3D extraction and modeling, and construction plans preparation. Work could include water, sewer, and stormwater planning and management, modeling, and design.
ResponsibilitiesDraft preliminary and final drawings under supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor or Professional Engineer.Process data collected from field-run surveys including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.Create and edit digital surface models for topographic surveys and construction layout.Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates under the direction of a licensed engineer.Assist with utility locating, land surveying, 3D extraction and modeling, and construction plans preparation.Participate in water, sewer, and stormwater planning and management, modeling, and design.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Proven ability in CAD software and drafting.Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate of Science degree in CAD Drafting or a related field is a plus.Knowledge of MicroStation and Trimble Business Center are a plus.Knowledge of land surveying-related tasks such as construction layout and survey equipment are a plus.Team-oriented and self-motivated.Ability to learn quickly and work independently.Willingness to work hard.Attention to detail.Valid driver’s license.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
