A Compliance generalist that collaborates with business units to protect the Company from regulatory risks so as to ensure successful continuation of its operations.
Interpret and conduct research and impact analysis on new regulatory and internal requirements and implement solutions together with business units. Support senior management in implementing and advising on business initiatives that arise from evolving regulatory landscape. Review and monitor business processes and the effectiveness of implemented initiatives, identify issues and work with business units in implementing effective and efficient controls. Review materials related to new/revamped products and business initiatives. Conduct market conduct trend analysis and investigations. Maintain the Compliance Risk Register. Support training and awareness programs to ensure staff understand compliance requirements. Participate in cross-functional teams to support projects that ensure regulatory compliance and risk management. Prepare reports and presentations to the Board of Directors, regulators and global office. Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor. Degree in Law, Business, Finance or related disciplines. Good understanding of the requirements by the Insurance Authority, Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Securities & Futures Commission (ILAS) and Health Bureau. Familiar with the general operations of an authorised insurer, the agency force and brokerage firms in Hong Kong. Strong interpersonal skills, objective-driven and results oriented. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, together with business units under pressure. 1 to 2 years of relevant experience. Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Possess active listening skills. Confident in discussing issues and solutions with regulators, agents, and brokers.
