Chubb Life: Head of Agency Development & Strategy

Position Objective

Upgrade agency distribution capability and thinking across global and markets Baseline agency distribution capability (people, process, tools), identify areas for enhancement; work in partnership with Global executive management and market CAOs to identify quick wins supporting plan delivery and mechanisms to futureproof the capability and value proposition of Chubb Life agency distribution  Strengthen agency management capability (process, tech) and governance (programs, risk) 

Agency Model Development

Coordinate with Global Finance and local CAOs on annual planning, work with CPs and market CAOs to enhance a coordinated 5 year strategy process and thinking Work with GAD members, Global Executive Management and market CAOs to baseline current agency capabilities, identify actions to support market CAO deliver against plans and go-forward roadmaps Work with GAD members on agency model development + standards (MDRT, Leaders Development, Agency Digital Tools, Full-time Agency etc).  Ensure strategy and plans are fully thought out – value proposition, process, digital + technology, leader/agent/AE capability, appropriate benefits and tracking Lead the design and thinking of Elite Agency / full time agency group, leveraging existing best practices where applicable (Huatai Premier in HTL) and support the development and implementation across all markets (Champion Hubb) Build relationships and work with relevant global functions to develop and/or enhance coordination to support delivery of agency growth plans – Global Brand, Technology, Transformation, Finance, Risk Support/Drive market agency distribution initiatives – Hong Kong Wealth (Chubb Investment Management); GBA (Hong Kong and Huatai collaboration); (SEA) alternative agency models

Recognition & Events

Execute MDRT Gala Dinner event.  Evaluate maturity/need for additional recognition/events to drive agency goals (e.g. Leader Conference, President clubs etc) Coordinate cross distribution (Partnership, DMTM, Digital) on Global Distribution Conference

Data & Governance

Work with Global COO and team to ensure business-led decisions to agency data ingested into Global Data Platform.  Enhance agency MI based on how global and market distributions teams will use data Move agency towards a data-led decisions organisation – agency management and programs Identify relevant Data and GenAI use – work with Chief Transformation Officer to test use cases

Business Quality

Work with Global Chief Risk Officer to build and enhance Business Quality Framework Co-create standardised BQ MI, fed from market monitoring, escalation and remediation process Deal with complex and multi-dimensional issues, be dynamic and innovative in resolving problems  Proactively address current and potential challenges, as well as opportunities, anticipate obstacles, develop contingency plans, make well-reasoned decisions and generate options to solve problems Strong project management skills with multi-tasking competency, work closely with multiple stakeholder Ability to create and maintain good working relationship with all levels of staff Strong leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills Strategic planning and proven execution in short and long-term plans Degree, relevant professional industry qualification preferred 10+ years job experience in life insurance in Asia markets, with at least 5 years focusing on agency management and agency support High degree of independence of decision making, people development and project execution  Good team player with creative mindset, strong business sense and willing to accept challenges Good command in English, Mandarin both in speaking and writing would be advantageous
