This is a casual position to join Uniting’s casual pool of Children’s workers to support our supported playgroups in Sydney Southwest. Base hourly rate $33.93 plus casual loading.

About the opportunity:
Uniting is seeking an experienced Children’s Worker to join our team in Cabramatta NSW. This position is supporting a school readiness playgroup and will work with families to support children’s transition into formal learning. As a Children's Worker for our Supported Playgroup - School Readiness Program, you'll collaborate with our dedicated team at the Cabramatta Multicultural Family Centre. Your responsibilities will include:
Creating developmentally appropriate activities for children and families. Facilitating engaging group sessions and assisting with setup and cleanup. Supporting children's transition to formal schooling. Conducting child assessments and referrals. Collaborating with parents and caregivers.Your Qualifications & Experience
Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. 2+ years of experience working with young children. First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain). Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with diverse groups. Organisational skills and a proactive, can-do attitude. Driver's license and reliability. Current NSW WWCCBenefits and culture
