DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will oversee ChildLine Caseworkers who handle referrals regarding suspected child abuse and neglect from both mandated and non-mandated reporters, ensuring appropriate referrals to county children and youth agencies (CYA) and/or law enforcement for investigation. You will establish performance standards and expectations by evaluating employee performance, promoting staff development, and acknowledging accomplishments. Furthermore, you will provide constructive feedback, offer coaching, and enforce disciplinary actions when necessary. Your responsibilities will include guiding, directing, and motivating staff while fostering values such as collaboration, inclusivity, expertise, cost-effectiveness, initiative, creativity, customer service, reliability, ethical conduct, dedication, and efficient use of personnel and technology. You will apply the Child Protective Services Law (CPSL) along with relevant regulations and administrative policies to make informed decisions. It is crucial to maintain adequate staffing levels to manage the daily operations of ChildLine. You will also communicate essential information to staff, including updates on policies, procedural changes, and management expectations, while assisting in the development, recommendation, and enforcement of new or revised policies, procedures, work enhancements, and quality assurance measures. In this essential position, you will support a critical business function and when there is a declaration of an office closing, emergency or disaster, you may be required to participate/assist in those functions to aid the business continuity process.
