POSITION SUMMARY:

Person in this position will be responsible for the childcare needs of the program. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Implement child development services, including but not limited to individualized educational and developmental plans, curricula, daily schedules and lesson plans, classroom instruction and medical/diagnostic services. Tend to childrens immediate needs while in daycare setting (feedings, changing) and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children in the daycare. Assure center and records adhere to all agency and county standards, health department standards and funding requirements. Facilitate therapeutic daycare curriculum involving child and parent. Supervise all CPS visits. Act as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team, providing information regarding parent/child interactions and making needed or necessary recommendations and/or referrals as requested by the Program Coordinator. Assure all medical and health records are maintained in each childs record. Monitor medical requirements and confer with County Public Health Nurse as needed. Confer with family members, significant others, staff, and the Program Coordinator regarding the childs special needs as necessary. Document childs behavior and concerns while in daycare setting in progress notes. Assist and monitor data collection and statistical reporting and complete Quality Improvement reports as requested. Participate in case staffing when necessary.
