Child Care/Babysitter Responsibilities:

Care for children from newborn to 18 years old, providing daily oversight and support. Travel by car or public transportation to various clients across the Portland area. Engage children with parent-approved activities and programs that foster development. Provide end-of-day reports detailing activities and care provided. Ensure a safe and nurturing environment, providing essential care (meals, housekeeping, diapering, toileting, bottle feeding, schoolwork, etc.). Care for mildly ill children as needed.

Child Care/Babysitter Requirements:

Must have a reliable vehicle. Minimum of 1 year of experience in childcare (e.g., daycare, babysitting, after-school programs) OR 2 years of experience in a home setting with family or siblings. First Aid and CPR certified (or willingness to obtain certification before the first shift). Ability to provide written reports of children’s daily activities to parents. At least 18 years old. High school diploma or GED. Experience in school, individualized nanny care, summer camps, or pediatric programs is a plus.
