The Opportunity:

The Exploit, Enhance, Enable, Influence (E3I) Chief Systems Engineer supports the E3I program within the Counter-Unmanned Systems Division in Sterling, VA to design, develop, enhance, deploy, and sustain current and future technologies, prototypes, systems, and SIGINT sensors directly supporting Army tactical commanders. The Chief Systems Engineer is responsible for leading the technical direction of an ACAT III Program of Record across the systems engineering lifecycle following Agile SW development and CACI systems engineering lifecycle methodologies. The Chief Systems Engineer ensures the delivery of high-quality software products that enable signals intelligence capabilities, and driving technical excellence in a technically challenging, fast-paced, and dynamic environment to “pace the threat.” They oversee the technical baseline, design, implementation, and integration of software solutions that support the collection and processing of signals intelligence data on CACI manufactured SIGINT hardware systems. They also mentor and coach team members, foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and make strategic technical decisions to drive mission success. The Chief Systems Engineer will work closely with program and project managers, project engineers, and other technical leadership to identify organizational staffing, develop technical/cost proposals, drive affordability, oversee system development and verification/validation, and coordinate program technical activities.

Responsibilities:

Lead program engineering throughout lifecycle, from program project startup through requirements development, design, test and verification, and O&M Lead multi-disciplinary technical teams in areas related to SIGINT RF systems design, analysis, test and execution Develop and align team performance to a Systems Engineering Management Plan to achieve required contractual performance, as well as configuration management of the technical baselineManage technical performance and interface across multiple disciplines Manage risks and opportunities against the programmatic baseline Work within program leadership team, including with the program manager, to ensure program success Provide primary technical interface to Customers and key stakeholders Communicate through oral presentations and written reports on program status, issues and successCollaborate across contracts with matrixed engineers to develop and maintain shared SW and HW solutions for DoD customers that have similar but distinct priorities and requirementsMentor the program engineering team to mature program rigor and performance

Qualifications:

Required:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 7 of prior relevant experience.  In absence of a degree, 14 of relevant experience is required.Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI eligibility.

Preferred:

Past experience in a technical leadership role, e.g. Chief Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer, IPT Lead, etc. Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management Experience with DOD or IC SIGINT systems Experience with full production lifecycle managementExcellent written and oral communication skills  Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$119,800 - $263,600
