If so, this role may be for you. Aon is seeking a Chief of Staff supporting the Chief Financial Officer. This is a strategic support and process management role that supports the CFO in running the financial operations and driving the company's financial strategy. The position acts as a trusted advisor, providing support on a wide range of tasks, ensuring effective communication, and leading projects that enable the CFO to focus on high-level critical initiatives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, executing on growth plans, implementing change management, facilitating prioritization of key initiatives, executive communication, and accelerating initiative completion. This role will be based in US with hybrid work flexibility which means you’ll be assigned to an Aon office and given the flexibility to work remote. The team is made up of high performing individuals that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. What the day will look like Operational Support: Oversee daily operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the finance department and addressing any issues that arise promptly. Project Management: Lead and run special projects and initiatives as directed by the CFO, ensuring timely completion and alignment with strategic objectives. Communication: Facilitate effective communication within the finance team (FLT meetings, Townhalls, Colleague engagement initiatives) and between the CFO and other departments, ensuring transparency and alignment. Reporting: Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents for the CFO, providing analysis and insights to support decision-making. Meeting Coordination: Organize and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas and driving performance of key action items. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, acting as a liaison on behalf of the CFO. Talent Management: facilitate change management as part of the Finance transformation, and lead the Finance Leadership and Intern programs Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department, enhancing processes and systems for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Supports the function's financial activities, including the budgeting process, identifying risks and opportunities, ongoing tracking/reporting, etc. Skills and experience that will lead to success Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Proven experience in financial management, strategic planning, or a similar role. Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Proven track record to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, leading multiple priorities and meeting deadlines. High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel, ERP systems, and financial modeling. Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $250,000 - $350,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in Aon’s annual incentive plans in addition to base salary. The amount of any incentive varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
