We have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Engineer for Gateway Lab Operations GRAIL to join the team with Nexus, a teammate company.\n
The Chief Engineer for Gateway Lab Operations GRAIL will:\n\nThe Chief Engineer will be the expert supporting the GRAIL (Gateway Ready Avionics Integration Lab),a critical testing facility of the Gateway Program which will return to the Moon\nChief expertise on facility and emulator design fidelity\nChief expertise on development and integration of high-fidelity avionic hardware and software integration of the lab\nSupport engineering flight project schedule, procurement documentation, budget and system requirements documents\nReview integrated analysis of the GRAIL system, hardware and software in relation to other Gateway Systems and the operational environment\nParticipate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews\nReview system level architecture trade studies and analyses that will influence the overall facility design and performance to inform decision making\nWork with team members and leads to identify risks, develop risk statements, and plan risk responses with mitigation strategies\nWork and present lab fidelity to customers and boards\/panels\nPerform other duties as required\nMust have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment\u200b\n\n \n

License and certification may be required. \nOn location position - situational telework only\nPast experience in development and integration of a high-fidelity integration lab\nUnderstanding of electrical, mechanical and power systems\nAble to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision\nExperience working in a team environment\u200b\n\n
Requisition Preferences:\n\nBS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school\nPast experience with NASA\nPast experience with Avionics is a plus\n
