MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The Chief Commercial Officer shapes, drives and enables the execution of a commercial strategy that aligns with the organisation’s goals of patient-centric healthcare, market expansion, and an exceptional client experience. This includes optimising healthcare product and service commercialisation, leveraging consumer insights and marketing, delivering measurable business growth through targeted sales strategies and factoring changing health policy into commercial strategies.

The Chief Commercial Officer plays a pivotal role in scaling the business and optimizing go-to-market strategies while also leading funder strategy development and negotiations in close collaboration with the CEO and CFO.

Additionally, this role drives innovation by identifying, ideating, and piloting new offerings to expand products and services. A key focus is on service differentiation and the growth of both business-to-consumer and business-to-business markets. Through close stakeholder collaboration, the role ensures seamless execution of strategic initiatives, cross-functional alignment, and long-term success in a dynamic healthcare environment.Additionally, this role drives innovation by identifying, ideating, and piloting new offerings to expand products and services. A key focus is on service differentiation and the growth of both business-to-consumer and business-to-business markets. Through close stakeholder collaboration, the role ensures seamless execution of strategic initiatives, cross-functional alignment, and long-term success in a dynamic healthcare environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Developing and executing a divisional and commercial strategy aligned with the company’s overall objectives. Driving revenue growth through strategic pricing, funder engagement & contracting and by identifying new market opportunities and revenue streams within the healthcare industry. Building insurer partnerships, negotiation pricing, and ensuring optimal reimbursement models to drive cost effective agreements and financial sustainability. Leading marketing, branding, and sales initiatives to enhance market positioning and managing the customer journey to enhance satisfaction and retention based on client experience indicators. Identifying and implementing innovative service lines and digital transformation opportunities. Manages the portfolio of strategic initiatives to ensure prioritisation, suitable resourcing and performance of these initiatives. Managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships, including regulators, insurers, and strategic business partners. Leading a high-performing commercial team and ensuring cross-functional collaboration. REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management or a related field.

 

DESIRED EDUCATION

A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a relevant postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.

Additional qualifications in healthcare, sales and marketing, project and portfolio management, digital transformation, innovation, and strategy

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

At least 10 years of experience in global or divisional leadership roles with business development and/or commercial and people management accountability.

Experience in the following:

strategy development and execution in a dynamic data-driven environment. marketing & sales cross-functional process leadership revenue management, competitive analysis, pricing strategies and negotiations, and market segmentation. interpretation of qualitative and quantitative datasets, including limitations and opportunity identification. healthcare-specific experience payer relations, including developing strategic partnerships with insurers, negotiating pricing structures, and ensuring optimal reimbursement models. 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

Experience in contract management and compliance, agile methodology in cross-functional teams, stakeholder engagement with executives, government entities, and strategic partners, and driving brand positioning and customer engagement strategies will be of a significant value. Application of Agile Methodology and working within agile teams to develop and deliver cross-functional initiatives Stakeholder management with executives, investors, government and community entities, customers, and suppliers to drive business success Development and enhancement of brand positioning to strengthen market presence and customer engagement. REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Ability to integrate commercial functions with operational goals, ensuring seamless execution and service delivery improvements. Ability to provide cross-functional process leadership and to lead and drive a high-performance culture within the commercial team Deep understanding of market trends in geographical region, healthcare consumer behaviour, and competitive dynamics within the divisional healthcare landscape. Expertise in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies tailored for healthcare services, ensuring increased market penetration. Strong ability to develop, implement, and refine commercial strategies aligned with divisional and Group objectives. Expertise in healthcare market trends, regulatory landscapes, and funder dynamics, including an understanding of reimbursement policies and competitor strategies. Proficiency in managing and negotiating relationships with key stakeholders. Verbal and written communication skills in English Knowledge of financial principles and data, including revenue forecasting, budgeting, cost optimisation, ROI analysis on new ventures etc. to drive commercial growth, with a strong focus on pricing and funder relations and performance. Proficiency in Arabic would bring added value.
