Chief Accountant

As Chief Accountant, you will be leading the organization and management of Statutory and Corporate accounting processes. Also, you will supervise the local accounting team, by setting goals and objectives, coaching, guide and developing the team members. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE: **Financial reporting** + Be responsible for the closing checklist to ensure completion of all required activities in the monthly closing process + Review and approve journal entries and calculations for accruals and provisions + Develop and maintain of standard recurring journal entries + Prepare and review monthly intercompany reconciliations with nVent Group entities, as well as the assigned month-end account reconciliations in OneStream accurately and on a timely basis; + Analyze monthly balance sheet and profit and loss accounts and movements + Comply with corporate direct tax processes and policies **Statutory reporting requirements** + Accountable for all finance statutory requirements + Prepare and file monthly VAT returns in accordance with local legislation + Assist with the preparation of the local direct income tax returns and transfer pricing documentation + Organize and coordinate the statutory audit with our external auditors + Compile annual financial statements + Good understanding of US to local GAAP and local tax basis differences **Internal Controls Management** + Management of the internal control system in order to ensure that local and Corporate accounting & tax standards are accurately integrated into all business processes + Coordination of internal audit activities You are an effective communicator, who easily collaborates with sales, procurement, logistics (supply, disposal, storage) and customs clearance, lawyers departments to ensure our balance sheet and profit&loss is accurately stated at all times! YOU HAVE: + Academic background in accounting + Ideally 5+ years accounting experience, with previous team leading experience of minimum 2 years + Solid experience with internal and external audit processes! + Good knowledge of Polish direct and indirect tax rules and regulations, ideally supported by professional qualifications/certifications; + Good ERP experience, M3 is highly preferred + Digital and lean approach, AP automation and workflow tools experience is an advantage; + Practical and pro-active approach in problem solving; + Exposure to multinational organization, ideally in an industrial manufacturing environment. + Proficient user of Excel and solid understanding of Powerpoint/Word + Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English! + You are comfortable with moderate traveling **WE HAVE:** + A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day + nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
