This individual will support research and testing in the Applied Chemistry Laboratory at the Kennedy Space Center. JOB DETAILS LOCATION: Kennedy Space Center, FL JOB STATUS: Part Time TRAVEL: No REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program leading to a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a Physical Sciences discipline. U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Hands on experience with laboratory hardware and equipment. Proficient in MS Office tools, including Teams, Excel, and OneNote. Must be dependable and accountable. Good communication skills, attention to detail and record keeping. Ability to take direction and work independently with appropriate training. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Support testing of thermal and non-thermal chemical conversion systems for resource recovery applications. Support data collection and materials analysis for various laboratory projects. Support meetings and provide findings to research team members and stakeholders.
