Job DescriptionPrimary Purpose: Under direct supervision of the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for reviewing, authorizing, and creating environmental reports for the Inorganic, Organic and Micro departments. Additional Lab work will be necessary to help improve workflow, testing, processes, and equipment.
Eurofins is looking for a dedicated environmental Chemist to be responsible for studying; the relationship between the chemistry of methodology, approving analyzes, and creating reports based on the correct review and authorization of data.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
The principal duties will be to perform data authorization and approval for all testing carried out at the Ottawa facility.Create Environmental reports for the Inorganic/Organic and Micro labs based on current guideline adherenceDevelop, improve, and optimize instrumentation, methodology and workflowCarry out scheduled audits of staff, processes and testing to ensure adherence to quality systemWhen needed perform sample extractions according to applicable SOPs and test methodsWhen needed perform sample analysis, integration, and data entry into the LIMS systemWhen needed perform method validation procedures for applicable test methodsMaintain good laboratory housekeeping at all timesWhen needed perform regular instrument maintenance, troubleshooting and calibrationFollow the Quality System as documented in the Quality Assurance ManualOther related duties as assignedQualificationsJob Specifications:
