Temp-to-Hire position$20.00 /hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)Manufactures specialty chemicals with strict attention to the quantities and procedures as indicated on the batch sheetReports changes made to the batch sheet and records the batch yield. Follows lab proceduresConducts safe operation of plant equipment including, but not limited to, forklifts, mixing tanks, reactors, pumps, homogenizers, vacuum pumps, etcPerforms manual labor that routinely requires the handling of drums weighing up to 600 pounds and lifting up to 100 lbsWorks overtime as necessary to assure on-time delivery and operating needsPerforms all functions necessary to assure on-time delivery and manufacture of quality product. This includes but is not limited to, troubleshooting of equipment and batches and communication with other departments to obtain resources needed, such as raw material and batch sheetsPerforms other tasks assigned by the Team Leader Chemical Operator, Production Supervisor, Assistant Plant Manager or the Site ManagerOther duties that may be assignedBatch making is limited to simple mixes and blendsChemical Operator I Qualifications:
1-3 years chemical manufacturing experienceA high school diploma or equivalent is requiredMinimum of 6 months forklift experience is preferredApplicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
