What this job involves: The Chemical Inventory Lab Technician technician supports chemistry operations by managing procurement, receiving, inventory, and material transfers between sites with minimal supervision. This role involves liaising with BMS Lab Managers, EHS contacts, and lab staff while maintaining safety compliance and a clean work environment.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Fulfill internal/external chemical requests from customersExecute receiving, sourcing, and weighing requests, including chemical subdivision and library collectionsMaintain stockroom inventories according to customer-determined thresholdsCoordinate inter-site and intra-site material shipmentsCommunicate with supervisor and lab management regarding supply stock, material needs, and software upgradesAssist with chemical stockroom, laboratory supply stockroom, and site inventoriesComply with safety regulations and maintain compliance documentationMaintain a safe and clean working environment in the laboratory and officeAdhere to JLL and client policies and proceduresAssist in other lab services operations as needed

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

Experience with RIO, Arriba, or similar procurement and inventory management systemsExperience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biochemistry1-2 years of relevant work experience in a laboratory settingKnowledge and experience with chemical management, handling, and storageDemonstrated understanding of units of measurement and reading measuring devicesProficiency in computer programs and data entry with high attention to detailKnowledge of MS Office suiteExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work effectively with management and employees at all levelsClear communication skills with colleagues and customersAbility to prioritize, manage, and organize time effectivelyTeam player committed to customer service in a quality environmentCapable of performing job functions with minimal supervision

Estimated total compensation for this position:

60,320.00 – 66,560.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
