Chimera Enterprises is current seeking a CBRND Instructor in Virginia Beach, VA
CONUS travel is required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Training Naval Special Warfare (NSW) personnel in the following:
+ Perform serviceability inspection and operators’ maintenance on items of CBR IPE.
+ Don and wear individually issued CBR IPE.
+ Employ CBR IPE in a simulated contaminated operational environment.
+ Identify standard chemical and biological detection equipment used by NSW.
+ Identify standard Radiation, Detection, Indication, and Computation (RADIAC) equipment used by NSW.
+ Describe pre-attack passive protective actions and measures.
+ Demonstrate immediate action procedures for a chemical or biological attack or release.
+ Demonstrate immediate action procedures for a nuclear blast.
+ Observe and describe individual exposure and contamination reduction measures.
+ Perform tactical dismounted maneuvers within a simulated contaminated area with a combat load.
+ Engage point targets with individual weapons within a simulated contaminated area.
+ Operate tactical individual communications equipment within a simulated contaminated area.
+ Select appropriate IPE items and demonstrate proper wear of IPE at each of the Mission Oriented Protective Posture (MOPP) Levels.
+ Incorporate pertinent intelligence updates gathered through applicable TSOCs based upon deploying AOR, threat briefs, and lessons learned information provided by the government into training.
+ Tailor CBRN training for individuals and units to meet Unit Level Training (ULT) requirements described in the COMNAVSPECWARCOMINST 3400.1.
+ Ensure curriculum is aligned with current instruction being taught to Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams conducting unit-level training at Training Evaluation Units 1 & 2 respectively.
+ Train NSW units in the ability to carry out specialized functions required to operate under CBRN conditions and the conduct of unit Level Mission Essential Tasks (MET) under CBRN conditions to include the following Collective Skills:
+ Embedded Decontamination Element (EDE).
+ Expedient Decontamination Support Element (EDSE).
+ Facilitate the implementation of CBRN scenarios into training and Readiness Exercises (RA) during Unit Level Training (ULT) to assess individual and unit skills in training exercises.
+ Incorporate intelligence updates, threat briefs, and lessons learned information provided by the Government into training.
+ Tailor CBRN training for individuals and units to meet Unit Level Training (ULT) requirements described in COMNAVSPECWARCOMINST 3400.1.
+ Provide instruction and exercises designed to develop, challenge, and measure the ability of a NSW Task Group to operate under CBRN conditions and focus on the interoperability of specialty-trained headquarters, maneuver, and operational elements to include the following:
+ Employ and establish collective protection for C2 nodes outside of the Forward Line of Troops (FLOT).
+ Assess and monitor enemy CBRN capability.
+ Assess the impact of CBRN weapons employment or release and incorporate it into the development of courses of action, planning, and concept of operations.
+ Perform CBRN vulnerability analysis.
+ Perform MOPP analysis and monitor unit protection status.
+ Direct, coordinate, and monitor application of CBRND passive protection measures.
+ Employ area CBR monitors and detectors. Direct employment of CBR detection capabilities in support of reconnaissance efforts.
+ Coordinate and integrate decontamination, resupply, and reconstitution activities.
+ Organize and oversee Full Mission Profile (FMP) training during ULT to assess individual and unit skills in Field Training Exercise (FTX) scenarios. Assist in the development of exercise scenarios during Task Group Integrated Training (TGIT) for pre-deployment exercises and help assess individual and unit skills.
+ Incorporate intelligence updates, threat briefs, and lessons learned information provided by the Government into training.
+ The Contractor assigned to NSW Group Four shall focus on applying pre-deployment training to the maritime environment and the unique challenges of Special Operations Maritime Combatant Craft Insert/Extract Training in a CBRN environment and operating on maritime platforms.
+ The Contractor shall enter completed CBRND training into the training records for those personnel trained.
Required Qualifications:
+ Minimum of 10 years’ experience in developing and executing military CBRN training programs and at least five years’ experience in developing and executing SOF training.
+ 10 years’ technical/operational CBRND experience. Instructors shall be subject matter experts in CBRND concepts, practices, and procedures, including Government and industry best practices in the following:
+ Minimum six (6) years military experience as a subject matter expert in CBRN, and no less than 4 years as a military or contracted instructor
+ Use of CBRN simulators. Experienced and trained in CBRN operations in a high IED threat environment. Able to instruct the full response to a CBRN incident from basic understanding and theory to on-scene actions and notifications, exclusion and downwind mitigations, personnel protective measures and equipment, field detection, and identification, containment, decontamination, to chain of custody, reporting and follow-on actions.
+ Shall have Navy Enlisted Code 9502 (Navy Instructor) or other service equivalent.
+ Shall have conducted at least three (3) CBRND training courses within the last year for Government agencies or military SOF.
+ Former SOF Operator(s) or EOD operator(s) with experience working within a special operations environment within the last ten years.
+ Instructors shall possess a Secret clearance.
