Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis will be responsible for leading financial planning and analysis, development of financial/operating models (as required) as well as variance tracking and analysis for various corporate FP&A initiatives. In addition, this candidate will lead special projects for McKesson Canada.
Specific Responsibilities
The candidate will act as a business partner and key financial advisor for the consolidation of McKesson CanadaThe role will be to partner with each business unit to understand their business and to translate it based on Corporate needsResponsible to consolidate financial information for McKesson Canada, produce monthly management presentations and analysis in a timely mannerResponsible to consolidate mid-month information and report on consolidated risks and opportunitiesLead the financial planning process of McKesson Canada for the rolling forecast and produce comprehensive management reports & analysis as well as ensuring the integrity of the financial resultsLead the quarterly operating reviews that are due to corporate as well as quarterly variance analysisEnsure proper consolidation and elimination completedKey liaison to ensure that business assumptions are properly reflected across the business units.Present results to Senior Director FP&A, VP, FP&A and CFOActively involved in supporting the teams of the key stakeholders concerned and the corporate finance teams in the process of preparing the budget, financial forecasts and long-term planProduce monthly management presentations and reports, trend analysis of business unit expenses and lead the review of monthly/quarterly resultsDrive conversations to ensure budget is respected or to find opportunities in areas of risk.Provide proactive support and financial analysis to business unit and corporate finance teams given the complexity of the business and the data availability.Key contributor to the development and implementation of a new reporting tool / process to meet the increased demand for financial analysis.Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) dashboard for all business units; support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives.The candidate will contribute to the continuous improvement of existing work processes as well as support the team with financial models and ad hoc analysisProvide proactive support and business analytics to the Management Team and considering the business and data availability; develop impact analysis for risks and opportunities related to profitabilitySpecial project lead - Directs the successful planning, development and administration of specific business and corporate projects. The successful candidate will have the following credentials, skills, and attributes:
Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance or Accounting as well as an accounting designation; Master’s degree is an asset9+ years of accounting experience, preferably at a global company. Experience in financial planning and analysis would be an asset1+ years of supervisory and/or management experienceProven track record of accomplishments, and ability to sustain strong peer relationships, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategiesCapable of solving problems, making the right decisions, and using sound judgement to escalate issues with recommendations when necessaryStrong team player with good interpersonal and leadership skillsStrong analytical and strategic mindset, organized and autonomousEffective communication skills with strong influencing abilities -bilingual (written and oral)Advanced knowledge of financial systems (ERP, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English. Please note that the number of positions requiring English language skills has been limited where possible.
