Job Description

Oaks Melbourne on Market Hotel is seeking a full-time Chef de Partie to take responsibility for assisting in the daily kitchen operations. Oak & Vine is building an accomplished, exceptional and talented restaurant team. 

EXPERIENCE / DUTIES 

Producing high quality meals for our patronsAssisting in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishesSupporting the Head Chef in day-to-day operations of the kitchenDemonstrate high standards of food production and presentationThe ability to work smoothly under pressure and remain calm in a busy work environmentEnjoy working with a team environmentExcellent communication skillsReliable, punctual and trustworthyMotivated and passionate about creating great quality food for our guestsSupervising, training and mentoring kitchen staffMaintaining a clean and organised kitchen 

QualificationsRelevant cookery qualifications (Minimum Cert III Commercial Cookery)A minimum of two years experience in a busy hotel or restaurant environmentExperienced in Banquet style cookingDemonstrated experience working without supervision in a busy environmentHave a passion and pride in your abilities and the hospitality industry
