About the Chef Position
We're seeking a passionate and competent Chef to join our team. As a Chef with [restaurant], you'll be responsible for overseeing everything that goes on in the kitchen!
As our Chef, you'll be responsible for many tasks, from ensuring high-quality dishes are served to patrons to managing the kitchen's budget. You'll need excellent organizational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Chef Responsibilities
+ Oversee kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, and cleanup
+ Manage kitchen staff by delegating tasks
+ Hire and train all kitchen staff members
+ Ensure all kitchen staff adhere to food safety and hygiene guidelines
+ Create menus that appeal to customers, including special seasonal menus
+ Work alongside restaurant management to price menu items
+ Provide feedback on food preparation and presentation
+ Inspect food items to ensure quality
+ Monitor inventory and workshop ways to reduce food spoilage
+ Inspect and maintain kitchen equipment, scheduling repairs when required
+ Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure goals are being met
Chef Requirements
+ [2+] years experience as a Chef
+ Degree in culinary arts preferred
+ Licensure from the FDA as applicable
+ Excellent multitasking, communication, and organizational skills
+ Superb attention to detail
+ Strong creativity when creating menus
+ Budget management skills
+ Ability to remain calm under pressure
