**Job Description:** ITW Hartness is looking for a Check Out Technician with strong ability to setup, test and demonstrate equipment at Hartness and possibly customer’s facility. With minimal supervision, this role involves troubleshooting, performing repairs and maintenance, and providing support for engineering tasks with a good understanding of electrical concepts. Assist supervisor in maintaining a safe, efficient and quality operation per company policies and procedures, excluding supervision responsibilities. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Strong understanding of all mechanical and electrical components of product line + Experience working, assembling and troubleshooting of core “80” ITW Hartness machinery + Strong critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and find the root cause of issues as well as think logically about solutions + Provide support to the Assembly and Service departments during periods of low activity in Check-Out + Ensure machines meet ITW Hartness quality standards + Familiarity with machine performance expectations with ability to interface machines through HMI + Aptitude with machine diagnostics, functionality, and equipment testing + Work alongside Senior Product Technician providing feedback and help with set up and training + Highly motivated, results oriented, and driven by success + Responsible for working with Project Managers on customer expectations for FAT’s + Ability to travel 5-10% to Customer Sites as required **Qualifications** Job Requirements: + High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree in a related field preferred + 3-5 Years of Mechanical and Electrical Experience + Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate equipment and interact with customers during FAT’s. + Strong analytical and confident decision-making skills + Strategic thinker with the ability to be self-driven and adaptive to change + Excellent planning and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail + Ability to prioritize, self-manage and multi-task while executing multiple projects at once + Ability to work with teams and lead decision-making processes in a collaborative environment + Capable of working short notice overtime, not excluding weekends with short notice.
