Chassis Electrical Technician

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Are you an experienced Automotive Electrical Technician with a passion for chassis systems, ready to take the next step in your career? If so, this position is for you! A well-established manufacturer of premium service trucks in Sheldon, IA is looking for a Chassis Electrical Technician to join their expanding team. In this role, you'll be responsible for working closely with the engineering and production teams to install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components.

Responsibilities:

Install and wire electrical components in chassis systems accurately and efficiently, following engineering specifications and wiring diagrams. Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and schematics to ensure proper and compliant electrical installations. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues using strong problem-solving skills to maintain reliability and performance. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance with close attention to detail, ensuring adherence to safety standards and minimizing potential failures. Collaborate effectively with engineering and production teams to improve system designs, enhance installation processes, and accurately document all work in line with company procedures.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in electrical technology preferred. Proven experience as an electrical technician, ideally within the automotive or heavy equipment manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and chassis-specific schematics. Excellent troubleshooting skills and familiarity with safety regulations, standards, and best practices in an industrial setting. Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on collaboration in cross-functional environments.
