Charge Nurse (RN) I - Surgical - Full Time - Nights
Departmental Overview Compensation/Benefits Up to $10,000 Sign on bonus. $30.11-$49.17 /hr. depending on previous work experience. Evening differential $2.50/hr. Night differential $3.00/hr. Weekend differential $3.00/hr. Our Surgical Unit at Norman Regional is seeking a Charge RN to join our TEAM, working alongside the nurse manager in leading dedicated and compassionate healers. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environment, has a strong willingness to learn, understands how to deliver safe and effective & compassionate clinical care along side a team. Our Surgical Unit has thirty two beds, we take care of patients with both surgical and nonsurgical conditions, we care for patients through the nursing process of assessment planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Furthermore, nurses collaborate with other healthcare professionals for best possible treatment of our patients. Job Summary Coordinates the nursing services of a single department by leading, directing and collaborating within the interdisciplinary care team. Serves as department leader alongside and in absences of Nurse Manager. RN essential functions include, but are not limited to: Collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care, delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care Evaluating responses to interventions Performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation. managing unit throughtput thoughout the day. Qualifications Education Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Experience One year experience as a Registered Nurse required. (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience). Licensure / Certification Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license or active Multistate RN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Charge nurses maintains ACLS as a requirement to continue Bariatric Centers of Excellence.
