Channel & Events Specialist

Overview

The Channel & Events Specialist is responsible for supporting channel marketing for select products in the portfolio and managing channel events for A-dec. This position supports Marketing & Product with launch readiness for the dealer channel and manages tradeshows and events. This includes adhering to the budgets for all national tradeshows and channel events.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project manages Channel Events including tradeshows and the National Dealer Sales Meetings to include planning, communication, execution. Makes recommendations and adheres to budget.Attends multiple major trade shows each year and is responsible for choosing booth locations for each show, ordering the most up-to-date equipment, planning placement for booth spaces, and designing/ implementing programs to increase booth traffic. Partners with Installation team and outside contractors on show support.Acts as the main onsite contact during trade shows for logistics, meetings, and events. Also acts as a liaison to the sales team and works closely with Regional Managers to coordinate product, people, shifts, etc.Maintains responsibility for the logistics of transporting equipment, maintenance of equipment and technology within the booth, and arranging for repairs when necessary.Develops and manages ad hoc development projects like designing new trade show booth layouts and leading the building process at the event, determining ways to enhance the quality of sales leads at the shows, and developing programs to utilize advanced technologies at the shows.Leads the annual consignment inventory process for tradeshows.Supports Channel Manager with project planning, product launch execution with the product team, and dealer setup for select products in the portfolio.Partners with Operations, Media, and Product teams to support communication & media plans, as well as annual promotional planning.Develops communications (emails and slide decks) on product launches, promotions, and program updates for internal teams, sales teams, and dealer contacts. Supports select product lines with review of content (brochures, web assets, etc.).Actively attends monthly dealer calls (category-specific teams) to communicate on product launches, upcoming promos, and media.Supports manager with promotions – partnering with Product and Finance on promotional ideas, analysis, and execution.Acts as a liaison for New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure new product launches are well supported at the A-dec booths and in the company showroom, pulling in the A-dec Education Center (AEC) team as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong project management, organizational skills, and communication across multiple teams and with partners.Must be able to manage and perform tasks on diverse projects requiring independent judgment, decision-making, and general troubleshooting ability. Must also be able to work independently and effectively lead teams.Must have excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications with at least a working knowledge of Enterprise Resources Planning systems (ERP) for accurate product ordering.Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and work professionally with various people while maintaining a positive attitude.Must have strong written and verbal communication skills along with a strong grasp of the English language.Ability to compile reports, research sales data, analyze data, and understand the impact of findings.Requires up to 30% domestic travel – following an approved tradeshow calendar.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and 3-4 years’ experience in channel support, event planning and/or marketing, or equivalent years of experience.Experience developing and implementing annual tradeshow budgets, devising routine reports on appropriate metrics, and experience reading and negotiating contracts.
